Hello everyone, my name is Sebastian and I am 17-years old.  For fun, I like to play video games and basketball.  I’ve been a Boys & Girls Club member since 2008 and have participated in programs like Keystone, Passport to Manhood, and Diplomas 2 Degrees.  I learned public speaking and leadership skills by volunteering at events like the Annual Salinas Airshow and Relay for Life.  I am a senior who attends North Salinas High School and I have maintained a 3.6 GPA.  I’m also in the Health Academy program, which is a program that helps students reach their goals to enter the medical field.  I would like to further my education at San Jose or Sacramento State University and pursue a Doctorate of Dental Medicine.  I have a passion to study not just the human mouth but, on my free time, the whole human anatomy.  However, I became interested in dentistry in 2012 when I took an x-ray and realized how much you are able to see.  Because of these x-rays, I was astounded that we can see things that are impossible to see by the natural human eye.  After I receive my degree, I would like to serve in the Monterey Community as a dentist as a way of giving back to my community.
