José A. Morán has been in the Boys & Girls Clubs movement for over 20 years. José believes that art is the medium for anyone to tell their story and defining a path. Music and poetry have been the defining elements for José. You can find him in our virtual live sessions teaching guitar.

Nikki Guichet

Nikki has been a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County for 15 years. She is a club alumna from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz and enjoys reading. On the virtual team she supports in the creation of On Demand content, keeps families in the know of what is coming up online through Blackboard and co-facilitates Engineering Challenges on Tuesday afternoons.

Ash Williams

Ash has been with BGCMC for 6 years now. He is a SFR Impact Lead 2 with a passion for helping youth develop their personal fitness goals. He also is an established independent writer/actor and filmmaker teaching basic courses on production and home studio as well as digital photo editing.

Brenda Romero

Brenda has been working for the Boys & Girls Club of Monterey County since November 2018. She is a California State University, Monterey Bay alumni. She enjoys hikes, reading thrillers, and watching reality t.v. On the virtual team she creates On Demand content and hosts live sessions for Book Club, Dreambox, and Kahoot.

Jonathan Lupisan

Jonathan has been working for the Boys & Girls Club for 7 years and is a former member from Salinas. Jonathan grew up studying art and is passionate about sparking the artistic talent in our youth. You can find him in our virtual live sessions teaching a variety of mediums from drawing to creating comic books.

Jorge Velasco

Jorge develops and implements fun, safe and impactful sports, fitness, recreation, and life skills programming and activities which attract participation by all Members while educating them on various topics of exercise science. During the school year, Jorge organizes intramural team sports leagues for boys and girls of all backgrounds and teaches and encourages teamwork, fairness, and sportsmanship.

Samantha Tobar

Samantha has been working for the Boys & Girls Club of Monterey County since December 2019. She is a full time student at California State University, Monterey Bay studying Kinesiology. She enjoys working out and watching comedy movies. On virtual she creates On Demand content and supports live sessions for Book Club, Exercise Science, Chess, Fun & Games, and World Wide of Sports. 

Steven Miller

Steven has been a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County for nearly 1 year.  He is a part-time Virtually BGCMC staff member and senior at CSU Monterey Bay majoring in Business Administration.  Steven loves to play basketball and make pizza from scratch.  On the virtual team he focuses on creating On Demand content and co-facilitating several live sessions such as Bug Science, Marine Science, and Fitness & Recreation.

Code Ninjas

At Code Ninjas kids learn to code while building their own video games. They gain problem solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.
