We celebrated Thanksgiving with more than 700 members and their families! Volunteers for the event included California American Water Company, who prepared and served meals for the Seaside Club, and California Water Service Company, who prepared and served meals for the Salinas Club alongside CSUMB Service Learners.
The Clubs also wish to thank Barry Peterson, Richard Vince, and Tonya Antle for their help. Richard baked 175 individual pound cakes as gifts for our members and their families. California American Water Company donated 175 turkeys, California Water Service Company sponsored the Thanksgiving programs with a $1,000 donation, Lucky’s Supermarket in Sand City donated $1,300 in groceries, Cardinale Moving & Storage donated 106 boxes, and McCormick & Company donated 12 cases of turkey gravy to help families in need. Over 80 families received a food box to host their family Thanksgiving meal and stock the cupboard with much needed staples. Thank you to all who made this a Thanksgiving to remember!
