This summer, Boys & Girls Club of Monterey County and Bank of America partnered to provide an eight-week paid internship for two students. David R. from Watsonville High School and Lauren A. from Notre Dame High School were selected as Bank of America Student Leaders, giving them the opportunity to gain invaluable leadership experience. Throughout the program, David and Lauren assisted Club staff, helping with supervising and engaging members in various learning activities. A highlight of their experience was a week-long, all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., where they interacted with over 300 other Student Leaders from across the country. During the trip, they met with members of Congress and participated in meaningful discussions on civil topics. To conclude their internship, David and Lauren presented their summer experiences and findings to Bank of America and BGCMC leadership. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments.
