Finding Emotional Support in GHGH: Nati M.

When Nati M., an 11th grader at Soledad High School, joined the GHGH Club, she was in a dark place. She had just ended a long, emotionally abusive relationship filled with manipulation and constant put-downs. Heartbroken and confused, Nati realized she didn’t even know what a healthy relationship was supposed to feel like.
That’s when GHGH stepped in—not just as a support system, but as a lifeline. Surrounded by caring mentors and peers who truly embraced her, Nati began to heal. She learned how to recognize red flags, set healthy boundaries, and most importantly, trust herself again.
Today, Nati isn’t just surviving—she’s thriving. With renewed confidence and a powerful sense of self-worth, she’s standing tall, speaking her truth, and enjoying a healthy, fulfilling life.
GHGH Programs
Empowered Leaders (4th-6th Grade): We offer workshops on puberty, nutrition, and self-confidence to help them navigate these formative years.
LeadHERs (7th-8th Grade): We support middle school girls in practicing compassion and self-care, and learning about their unique health needs. This stage focuses on developing strong interpersonal skills and a deeper understanding of personal health.
GHGH Club (9th-12th Grade): Our workshops cover essential topics such as bullying, social media, peer pressure, healthy eating, self-care, self-esteem, and sexual health.
Girls’ Leadership Network (GLN): This girl-led council comprises 25 high school girls representing their schools and communities. The GLN fosters leadership and advocacy skills, preparing these young women to become the next generation of leaders.
