NIANTI SHINES ON THE NATIONAL STAGE AS YOUTH OF THE YEAR FINALIST

Nianti, a longtime member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, represented the Pacific Region with poise, confidence, and heart at the 2026 Boys & Girls Clubs of America Youth of the Year celebration in New York City.

The star-studded event featured former Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson, ballet dancer Misty Copeland, comedian JB Smoove, and former NFL Pro Bowler DeMarcus Ware. While each shared inspiring reflections on the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs, it was the stories and accomplishments of the six national Youth of the Year finalists—including Nianti—that truly captured the hearts of the evening’s 700 guests.

When Nianti took the stage to deliver her speech, the audience responded with a standing ovation. Her powerful words, confidence, and ability to connect with the audience demonstrated why she earned her place among the nation’s top six Youth of the Year finalists.

Although Nianti did not take home the national title—the honor went to Enrique of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County in Florida—she made an unforgettable impression throughout the week. From photo shoots and interviews to special appearances and events, Nianti carried herself with professionalism and grace and emerged as a respected leader among her fellow finalists.

For Nianti, the experience was about more than a competition. It was an opportunity to represent her Club, her community, and the many young people who have supported and encouraged her along the way. She expressed her deep appreciation for the Boys & Girls Clubs family—including Club members, staff, board members, and volunteer coaches—whose encouragement helped carry her throughout her Youth of the Year journey.

Perhaps most meaningful to Nianti is knowing that her journey has inspired younger Club members to dream big and imagine themselves pursuing opportunities through the Club in the years ahead.

Being named one of the final six Youth of the Year candidates in the nation is an extraordinary accomplishment. Nianti has demonstrated leadership, resilience, confidence, and a commitment to inspiring others—qualities that will continue to serve her well as she begins her next chapter at UCLA this fall.

Congratulations, Nianti, on an incredible achievement! We are proud to call you one of our own and excited to see all that you accomplish next.
