Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County is excited to provide Monterey County youth with a fun and safe environment to enjoy their Summer break. All youth will receive a summer shirt with membership!

Youth can expect a morning program consisting of science, animation, and video production activities and an afternoon program consisting of STEAM, art, literacy and field trips.

 Summer Program Cost:

K-8th Grade: $300
9th-12th Grade: Free

Juneteenth – June 20, 2022
Independence Day – July 4, 2022
Salinas Rodeo – July 21 – 22, 2022 (Salinas Only)

K-2nd grade members will follow a different science theme each week to learn about different branches of science. Each activity will have a project that helps youth learn and understand more about that branch of science. 

3rd-5th grade members will learn about the science of animation & create their own stop motion animations in small groups. 

6th-8th grade members will learn the ins and outs of being an influencer on social media. They will learn how to create digital content and create a brand on social media. The end of the summer project will be digital content created for Virtually BGCMC. 

9th-12th graders may participate in the Junior Staff leadership development program. In addition, teens will serve as assistant youth leaders in addition to other community-service learning opportunities.
