Dear Families,
On August 3, 2020, we learned that a Boys & Girls Club Staff Member at our Salinas Clubhouse tested positive for COVID-19. The Staff Member serves in a support capacity and had limited to no interaction with Club Members. Still, there is a slight chance that Staff and Club Members at the Salinas Clubhouse were exposed to this individual in the two weeks prior to the date of diagnosis.
We are collaborating with the appropriate public health officials and adhering to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to privately inform anyone determined to have been in close contact with this employee.
If you or your child are having symptoms that align with COVID-19, please contact your healthcare provider or, if you do not have a healthcare provider, please contact your local health department immediately and indicate that you may have been exposed to the virus.
We are taking all precautionary measures including deep cleaning and sanitizing the Clubhouse to ensure the safety of Members upon return.

Estamos colaborando con los oficiales de salud pública apropiados y acatando las recomendaciones provistas por los Centros de Prevención y Control de Enfermedades, para informar de una manera privada a todas las personas que puedan haber tenido contacto cercano con este empleado.
Si usted o su niño(a) tiene(n) síntomas que se asemejan al COVID-19, por favor comuníquese con su médico o, si usted no tiene un médico, por favor comuníquese inmediatamente con el Departamento de Salud Publica en su localidad, y explíqueles que hay la posibilidad de que usted haya sido expuesto al virus.

Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, including:
- Avoid close contact with those who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or inside the elbow
- Clean and disinfect regularly touched surfaces
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Get plenty of sleep, drink lots of fluids, and eat nutritious food
