There Are Many Ways to Support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County!
Help Make The Difference.
Give Today

All of the children in our community deserve the right to be cared for, nurtured and given the opportunity to reach their potential. It is a proven fact that children are at greater risk of being involved in crime, substance abuse, and teenage pregnancy in the hours after school.

It may surprise you to know that our members pay an annual fee of just $25 per year, yet it costs approximately $750 annually for each child to participate in our programs. Every dollar we receive counts. Consider how your dollar can benefit the kids of Monterey County.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County provide a safe and positive environment, offering programs for children ages 6 to 18. The Club offers the social and emotional support needed to meet the challenges of our youth’s changing environment. Our Clubs help develop self esteem, positive values and skills through a variety of educational, cultural, social, health and recreational programs. Our programs are continually improving to meet our members' many needs.

There are several ways to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County. Please consider:

• General Support
• Gifts of Stock/Securities
• In-Kind Gifts
• Gift Acceptance Policies
• Honorariums
• Gifts in Memory
• IRA Rollover/Charitable Distribution
• Endowment and Planned Giving
• Volunteer Opportunities
• 1-to-1 Mentoring

General Support
Donations made to General Support are used where they are needed most...this could be supplies for the Science Room, or to pay the annual fee for a family in need, or simply to help ensure we keep a clean and safe facility in top notch condition.

Gifts of Stock/Securities
You can make a gift of appreciated stocks or securities via a direct transfer to our brokerage account.  Your charitable deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock on the date of transfer and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock.  A letter of transfer detailing our account information can be downloaded by clicking a link. We have many different opportunities at each of our locations. Volunteers are needed year-round for academic advancement, coaching team sports, weight training and conditioning, art instruction, teen activities, computer instruction, science research and fund raising events.
