Types of Volunteer Opportunities:
Direct Service (working with kids) We have many different opportunities at each of our locations. Volunteers are needed year-round for academic advancement, coaching team sports, weight training and conditioning, art instruction, teen activities, computer instruction, and science research. Support Services (Office work, club maintenance, etc.) For additional information about opportunities currently available, please contact Joe Garcia or Julie Aulenta at volunteer@bgcmc.org. Fundraising and Special Events The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County host several events throughout the year. Although many of our events are instrumental in providing funding for the numerous programs we run in our clubs, our organization is also host to events that promote targeted youth development opportunities for youth in our communities. For additional information about volunteer opportunities at one of our special events, please contact Joe Garcia or Julie Aulenta at volunteer@bgcmc.org. Requirements Requirement for volunteer opportunities may vary for different positions. All Volunteers working in our clubs, or providing direct service to youth must complete the following steps in advance of providing service:
Volunteers interested in participating in a special event should contact Joe Garcia or Julie Aulenta at volunteer@bgcmc.org for additional information regarding participation requirements. To start the volunteer process early you can also fill out the Volunteer Application and email it to volunteer@bgcmc.org.
