Donna Ferraro, CEO/PresidentDepartment: Executive StaffEmail: Donna began her Club career in 1991 as the Resource Development Director. She quickly moved up the ranks to Associate Director and, 7 years later, to Director of Development & Marketing. In 2000 Donna accepted the position as Executive Director. Under her direction, the club continues to be a vital part of this community and is committed to serving the local youth. Through her constant efforts, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County has excelled in many core areas. Donna’s main focus has been on quality programming and funding. She is responsible for the conception of our Fine Arts program, our new state-of-the-art Science Center, the music program, and many more. Due to Donna’s leadership as CEO, coupled with her tireless efforts and sincere passion for the children, the Harden Foundation of Salinas selected the management team and Board of Directors to spearhead the enormous project of planning, fundraising, and operating the Harden Youth Development Center - our new Boys & Girls Club unit in Salinas. Donna has many responsibilities outside the office as well. She is currently serving on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Administrative Conference Committee and the National Planned Giving and Endowment committee. Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors for the Seaside Chamber of Commerce and volunteers for various other Non-Profit Organizations. Before coming to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Donna spent 9 years in the banking industry as the Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager (Carmel and Salinas branches) for Citicorp Savings. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance from California State University at Hayward (Hayward, CA). Donna, her husband Stan, and her son Matthew, have resided on the Monterey Peninsula for 30 years. They are members of the Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach and PGA West in La Quinta, CA. |
