•    Staying in the Know About Club Happenings:  Check-out the Club Family Bulletin

In addition to our website, please be sure to check out our Club Family Bulletin.  Distributed at the beginning of each month, the Club Family Bulletin briefs you on the latest happenings. These can be picked up at the Club.

• Cook More and Save More

Cooking at home saves money and helps members eat better. With today's economic downturn and the overwhelming rise of obesity among children and adults, preparing and sharing meals and snacks together is one way to start combating the problem. The HomeBaking Association has created several baking recipe video demonstrations that can helpsave your Club and families money, and help members consume more of the nutrients people typically eat in insufficient quantities. For more information please visit www.homebaking.org.

•    Tools to Help Parent Talk to Their Teens About Drugs

More resources are available from www.theantidrug.com to help parents talk to their children about the dangers of prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Encourage parents to log on and learn the symptoms and signs of abuse, the most commonly abused drugs and actions parents can take to safeguard their prescription drugs.

•    Meth Awareness

The lethal scourge of methamphetamine abuse is spreading across the country and affects us all. "Meth" is a powerful, highly addictive stimulant that is cheap and easy to produce. It is the nation's fastest growing drug threat. Your Club can take the lead by collaborating with local agencies and residents to raise awareness about meth abuse and its terrible effects among all members of your community. To help you get involved, Department of Justice has created a comprehensive Meth Awareness Web site. Use these practical suggestions to get started.
