The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County provides free transportation from select area schools to the BGCMC clubhouses.
Please remember that parents/guardians are responsible for picking up children from BGCMC clubhouses or designated pickup locations.

Parent of Isaiah G. and Adrian V. says, “I like the bus program because I am a single mom going to school full time and I do not have transportation for them to get here.”
Parent of Daniel & Desiree V. says, “ I am a single dad and work 8 to 5 and getting off to pick them up would be impossible & I am thankful for my kids being transported.”
"Catch the Bus" is free afterschool bus transportation is available from the following schools:
Monterey Peninsula Schools
Del Rey Woods Elementary - Departure at 2:20 p.m. on regular days and 12:50 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Highland Elementary - Departure at 2:50 p.m. on regular days and 12:50 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Ord Terrace Elementary - Supervised Walk Program departs at 2:20 p.m. on regular days and 12:50 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Salinas Schools
Boronda Meadows Elementary - Departure at 2:55 p.m. on regular days and 2:00 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
Cesar Chavez Elementary - Departure at 3:00 p.m. on regular days and 2:10 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Return trip to Gabilan Hills Town Homes Community Center at 5:45 on regular days and 5:15 on Spring, Summer and Winter school break.
El Gabilan Elementary - Departure at 2:30 p.m. on regular days and 1:30 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
Fremont Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 1:40 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Return trip at 5:40 on regular days and 5:10 on Spring, Summer and Winter school break.
Gavilan View Middle - Departure at 3:15 p.m. on regular days.
Harden Middle School - 3:30 pm. Third Thursday of the month early release.
Kammann Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 1:30 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
La Paz Middle School - Departure at 3:10 p.m. on regular days. Third Thursday of the month early release.
Return trip to Gabilan Hills Town Homes Community Center at 5:45 on regular days and 5:15 on Spring, Summer and Winter school break.
McKinnon Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 1:15 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
Monterey Park Elementary - Departure at 2:50 p.m. on regular days and 1:30 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
Natividad Elementary - Departure at 2:20 p.m. on regular days and 1:40 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
New Republic Elementary - Departure at 2:10 p.m. on regular days and 12:50 p.m. on early release days (Last Wednesday of the month).
Sherwood Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 1:40 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
Return trip to Roosevelt Town Homes Community Center at 5:30 on regular days and 5:00 on Spring, Summer and Winter school break.
Soaring Eagles Christian Academy - 1:00 pm on Monday's & Tuesday's.
Steinbeck Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 1:40 p.m. on early release days (Wednesdays).
University Park Elementary - Departure at 2:40 p.m. on regular days and 2:00 p.m. on early release days (Thursdays).
Students interested in participating in this program are required to become Boys & Girls Club members. The annual membership fee is only $25!

It is easy to become a BGCMC member. The first part is to complete the membership application by a Parent/Guardian. The next step is to attend a fun new member orientation. Click here to see the schedule. Both the parent/guardian and the student must attend a new member orientation together. New member orientations are held every Tuesday afternoon from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Seaside Clubhouse and every Thursday afternoon from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Salinas Clubhouse.

Bus Ride Expectations: Members are expected to observe all safety rules during the bus ride which includes:
1. Never move toward the bus until it has come to a stop.
2. Members must present their membership card to the driver before boarding.
3. Members must fasten their seat belts when available.
4. Remain in seats at all times during transporting to the club.
5. Members may not move from seat to seat.
6. Remain seated and facing forward.
7. Treat everyone with respect.
8. Obey the bus driver.
9. Do not distract the driver.
10. Keep all body parts inside the bus at all times.
11. Members may not throw items out of windows.
12. Do not eat or drink on the bus.
13. Animals of any kind are not allowed on the bus.
14. Sharp or dangerous items are not allowed on the bus.
15. Do not damage the bus.
16. Members must remain seated until their row is dismissed from the bus.
Members who do not follow directions from Boys & Girls Club staff or fail to comply with established rules may lose transportation privileges.
