The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey is providing transportation from select area schools to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Parents/Guardians are responsible for arranging transportation from the Boys & Girls Clubs.
The free afterschool bus transportation is available from the following schools.
Monterey Peninsula Schools
Del Rey Woods
Highland Elementary
Ord Terrace Elementary
Salinas Schools
Boronda Meadows Elementary
Cesar Chavez Elementary (return trip to Gabilan Hills Town Homes)
Harden Middle School
La Paz Middle School (return trip to Gabilan Hills Town Homes)
Natividad Elementary
Sherwood Elementary (return trip to Roosevelt Town Homes)
Steinbeck Elementary
University Park Elementary
Students interested in participating in this program are required to become Boys & Girls Club members. The annual membership fee is only $25!
Parents/Guardians must complete a membership application. Both the parent/guardian and the student must attend a new member orientation. New member orientations are held every Tuesday afternoon from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Seaside Unit and every Thursday afternoon from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Salinas Unit

Bus Ride Expectations: Members are expected to observe all safety rules during the bus ride which includes:
1. Never move toward the bus until it has come to a stop.
2. Members must present their membership card to the driver before boarding.
3. Members must fasten their seat belts when available.
4. Remain in seats at all times during transporting to the club.
5. Members may not move from seat to seat.
6. Remain seated and facing forward.
7. Treat everyone with respect.
8. Obey the bus driver.
9. Do not distract the driver.
10. Keep all body parts inside the bus at all times.
11. Members may not throw items out of windows.
12. Do not eat or drink on the bus.
13. Animals of any kind are not allowed on the bus.
14. Sharp or dangerous items are not allowed on the bus.
15. Do not damage the bus.
16. Members must remain seated until their row is dismissed from the bus.
Members who do not follow directions from Boys & Girls Club staff or fail to comply with established rules may lose transportation privileges.
