Event Details: Now in its 19th year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County is proud to announce its annual Comics for Kids Auction to be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Grand Tasting Tent. This stellar venue and guest experience is in part made possible through the generosity of presenting sponsors Coastal Luxury Management and the Pebble Beach Company.
The Boys & Girls Club is delighted to have Marc Cota-Robles and Jasmine Viel as Masters of Ceremony at the event this year, who will welcome our guests and put on a great show for our audience of over 650 guests. Most locals know Jasmine Viel as the evening anchor at Central Coast News KION/KCBA. Jas is married to her co-anchor Marc Cota-Robles.
The evening will begin with a beautiful reception where guests will enjoy sumptuous hors d’oeuvres and fine wines, each showcasing the talents of our local chefs & wineries. During the reception, guests can bid on a varied and unique selection of Silent Auction items, using a wireless handheld called Bidpal.
Following the reception, a multi-course dinner will be served in the beautifully decorated dining room of the Grand Tasting Tent. During dinner, you will enjoy high-energy and amazing musical performances by some of our most talented Club members. Our famous Live Auction is next, led by professional auctioneer Wil Shriner featuring one-of-a kind items, travel packages, and fabulous dining experiences.
Comic entertainment for the evening will be provided by the renowned comedian Rita Rudner, best known for her Las Vegas comedy act at the Venetian. Rita has also starred in seven HBO comedy specials, her own PBS special and has written several movie scripts.
